The story behind Theophilus’ Furrowed Brow begins in October 2023. Theo was born 15 weeks early at the whopping weight of 1lb 5oz to the owners of Ozark Mountain Coffee Company, and immediately put in NICU care. Soon after, he began displaying his displeasure with the nurses and doctors “messing” with him. This expression of offense came out in the form of a furrowed brow, or scowl. Theo soon became known for his adorable brow amongst the kind nurses in his unit.
 
Name banners are hung above the babies’ isolettes, which are the clear “boxes” that premature babies are cared for in. One of Theo’s nurses created his banner in honor of both his brow and the work his parents are involved in—coffee. This nurse combined the two to create a hand-drawn coffee bag entitled “Theophilus’ Furrowed Brow,” with the description of “Preemie Light Roast.” Thus was born the name of Theo’s intense eyebrows, as well as the inspiration for his coffee.
